Berkshire Youth Cricket League

      Supported by the Shanly Foundation

Welcome to the 2016 season.

The BYCL was established in 1979 and organises cricket within a competitive framework for junior sections of clubs affiliated to the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB), through their own county board.  Most of the member clubs are based in Berkshire but we do have member clubs from our neighbouring counties.

The BYCL is affiliated to the Berkshire Cricket Board and organises games for children at Under 9; Under 11; Under 13; Under 15; and Under 17.  We have a softball 6-a-side competition for U12 Girls and a hardball league for U15 Girls.  There are two cup competitions run by the county board,  at Under 13 and Under 15, into which all clubs who have league teams at that age group, are automatically entered.  The winners of the cup competition will represent Berkshire in the ECB National competitions for these age groups.

All member clubs agree to follow the competition rules as laid down in our league handbook, the Safe Hands policy of the ECB and must abide by the League's Codes of Conduct.
